(Via Vogue Archive)

The new digital Vogue Archive supported by WGSN provides access to 120 years worth of Vogue magazine’s materials! According to their website, subscribers can find:

More than 400,000 pages in full color.

Covers, advertisements, features, photographs, and illustrations in their original context.

Explore the work of major designers, models, and photographers.

Experience advertising genius from every decade.

Research and analyze uses and influences of detailing, garment types, and fabric.

This digital archive is a perfect example of the special kinds of jobs that are available for 21st century librarians. Hadass Blank, a Pratt Institute Library and Information Science graduate, focused her practicum project on the work and effort done by Conde Nast for the Vogue Digital Archive Project.
